This spirited and energetic fanfare makes for a exuberant opener to either half of a concert. The American Fanfare was originally written for a celebratory occasion for a church in Naples, Florida. At the encouragement of Erich Kunzel, it was scored for full orchestra in 1999, and later went on to win the Florida Orchestra Fanfare Competition that same year.
