Medusa was composed for trumpet/piano duo Mother Chaos to premiere in the Spring of 2026. This character piece of a sonata follows the life of Medusa from her early years as a beautiful maiden through her transformation and untimely beheading. Each movement depicts a different season of her life; the Fantasy and freedom of her early years, the Foul Play when she is attacked and cursed, and the Fury that follows when she is being hunted and eventually beheaded.

The first movement is playful and dance-like, the second moment is hazy and dissociative, and the final movement evokes rage while tying all of the previous themes together.
