“Imaginings” (2004) focuses on the rare fleeting moments of the day when the imagination can run free. During these times, inspiration abounds and there is a yearning to stretch the limits of what is possible. Inevitably reality must return, but afterwards one is left with a feeling of both excitement and peacefulness. “Imaginings” was commissioned by saxophonist James Noyes.
