I Found The Light, Music by Jake Landau and text by Emily Garber (2023)
for soloists, chorus, and orchestra OR soloists, chorus, string orchestra, piano, and optional percussion

I Found The Light paints in music and poetry a girl walking alone through a dark, winter forest on the longest night of the year. As she walks, lights begin to fall with the snow, leading her home. More and more lights drop down, and as they do, the girl sees others following them too, and realizes that she is not alone. As the forest fills with light and warmth, she finds the meaning of the winter holidays: the joy of all of us, together, coming home.
