The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace
Duration: 45'

Chamber Opera in One Act (2019) 45'
Music by Kamala Sankaram
Libretto by Rob Handel
A note from the composer and librettist:
Harriet Beecher Stowe really did write a scandalous article about the Byron family, which was published in The Atlantic. Last time we checked, you could still read it on the magazine’s website. It’s also true that abuse was hurled upon Stowe as a successful woman with a husband who supported her choice to pursue a career. We have taken liberties with chronology, and the meeting between Stowe and William King-Noel is made up. All the numbers in the opera, however, are real.
