The Sunburst Suite was composed to capture the vibrant energy and excitement of young chamber musicians. The movements of this work can be performed as standalone pieces or as a kind of build-your-own adventure. Each movement is titled after a nature-themed mythical being or event and intentionally reflects a multitude of musical styles.
Lasting around 1-2 minutes per movement and ranging from G3-G5, each movement is approachable for early high school students while still presenting a fun and engaging challenge.
