Twisted Gambit (6') was written for Doug Lindsey and Kristy Mezines who make up the trumpet and piano group Duo Solace. Both are brilliant musicians with minimal technical limitations on their respective instruments. This piece was composed with their skill and passion in mind. The motives in this work are meant to be sneaky, biting, and clever, embodying the idea of a Twisted Gambit.
